Ivar T Holth registered his Norwegian silversmith business in 1943. The company continued to produce jewellery until the early 2000s. Holth jewellery is recognized for its fine and often brightly coloured guilloche enameling. Typical to Norwegian silver jewellery, popular pieces take the form of leaves and butterflies. The enameling is often a solid bold colour and is sometimes painted into floral portraits or landscape scenes. The company also produced beautifully enameled Victorian revival style jewellery.
Holth pieces are marked with an H in a circle and marked 830S NORWAY or 925S STERLING to indicate the silver content.
