Vintage Green Enamel Silver Bracelet by Ivar T Holth

This vintage midcentury bracelet by Ivar Holth is composed of twelve pierced silver panels each decorated with a band of deep green guilloché enamel.  Each panel is linked with chain connections.  The enamel is in excellent condition without any chips or marks.  The silver is also in great condition and looks new.

It is stamped 830S on the tab part of the clasp and stamped 925S Sterling Norway on the other part of the clasp.  The Holth mark, an H in a circle, is present in both stamps.  Holth was one of the premier makers of Scandinavian enamel jewellery in the midcentury.

Ivar T Holth

Ivar T Holth registered his Norwegian silversmith business in 1943.   The company continued to produce jewellery until the early 2000s.  Holth jewellery is recognized for its fine and often brightly coloured guilloche enameling.  Typical to Norwegian silver jewellery, popular pieces take the form of leaves and butterflies.  The enameling is often a solid bold colour and is sometimes painted into floral portraits or landscape scenes.  The company also produced beautifully enameled Victorian revival style jewellery.

Holth pieces are marked with an H in a circle and marked 830S NORWAY or 925S STERLING to indicate the silver content.

How do you rate the condition of a piece?

Excellent - No visible flaws to note but items may exhibit some signs of age related wear
Very Good - Some visible flaws which aren't considered to impair the wearability of the piece
Good - Some more notable flaws but the piece is still in collectible condition

All items are vintage and have lived a previous life, therefore signs of age related wear are to be expected. I do my best to bring attention to any faults in the description and by using the condition scale.
