Aksel Holmsen was a Norwegian silversmith. Between 1889 and 1892, he apprenticed under David Andersen. Later, in 1904, he established his own silversmith workshop in Oslo, gaining recognition for its modernist design sensibility. The workshop was renowned for its traditional filigree craftsmanship and, in the 1950s, for creating enamel floral brooches. In the 1960s, they transitioned to crafting plain silver modernist abstract jewellery. The company ceased its operations in 1971.
