Vintage Earrings by Stanley Hagler Black and Pearl
These large vintage earrings by Stanley Hagler take the form of a flower. All hand beaded, the large black beads are interspersed with small black beads and faux seed pearls. The backs are very beautiful, featuring pierced brass plates typical of Hagler work.
Stamped 'STANLEY HAGLER N.Y.C'. I do believe that the spacing of the NYC in the stamp indicates that these were made while Stanley Hagler was still at the helm of his company in the 1980s.
Stanley Hagler
Stanley Hagler made costume jewellery in a similar style to that of Miriam Haskel. Many pieces were intricatly beaded around fine metal work. The company was founded in the mid 1950s using the mark 'Stanley Hagler' until the 1980s when 'Stanley Hagler N.Y.C' came into play. However, most pieces stamped 'Stanley Hagler NYC' were made after his death in 1996 by his apprentices.
How do you rate the condition of a piece?
Excellent - No visible flaws to note but items may exhibit some signs of age related wear
Very Good - Some visible flaws which aren't considered to impair the wearability of the piece
Good - Some more notable flaws but the piece is still in collectible condition
All items are vintage and have lived a previous life, therefore signs of age related wear are to be expected. I do my best to bring attention to any faults in the description and by using the condition scale.
