Vintage Ciner Gold and Rhinestone Bracelet

SOLD

This elegant vintage 1940s bracelet is exquisitely crafted, displaying the skill of the fine jewellers of the Ciner company.  The rich gold plating still shines and the crystals shimmer in the light.

The clasp is invisible once fastened, the result of a fancy, rhinestone push button. There is also a safety chain still attached.

Displaying an early stamp, 'CINER', on the clasp reverse, it dates the bracelet to the late 1940s or early 1950s before the copyright symbol was deployed.

Condition:  In overall very good condition for its age.  The plating is excellent, bar a few protruding prongs which have lost the gold plate.  All gems are present although it's likely that some of the crystals are replacements as a few of them shimmer with a bit more clarity than the majority although it wouldn't be noticeable when worn.  Still a real treat for the collector.

Ciner

Ciner started in New York in 1892 making fine jewellery.  During the Great Depression, to preserve the business, they made the switch to costume jewellery, though this did not translate to a reduction in quality.  Ciner jewellery has always used the finest materials possible and has always been made by hand.

The company is still in the Ciner family and making fine costume jewellery more than 100 years later.

How do you rate the condition of a piece?

Excellent - No visible flaws to note but items may exhibit some signs of age related wear
Very Good - Some visible flaws which aren't considered to impair the wearability of the piece
Good - Some more notable flaws but the piece is still in collectible condition

All items are vintage and have lived a previous life, therefore signs of age related wear are to be expected. I do my best to bring attention to any faults in the description and by using the condition scale.
